Dog owners can benefit from three new products just launched by one of the UK’s leading training and behaviour experts – The Company of Animals – to encourage improved behaviour in dogs.
At some point or another, most dog owners will come across a behaviour problem with their dog which requires a training aid or additional support. Jumping up is one of the most common and embarrassing problems dog owners experience and the Company of Animals Pet Corrector product has proven to be highly effective in discouraging these displays.
Now, in response to customer demand, Company of Animals has developed a handy sized 30ml size product ideal for taking out on walks or visits to help deter poor behaviour displays.
Ideal for carrying in a handbag or pocket, the new size Pet Corrector can be used to interrupt undesirable behaviour displays in dogs, such as jumping up, stealing food or excessive barking.
The release of a hiss of air distracts the dog’s attention providing an opportunity for the owner or trainer to regain the dog’s attention. The hiss of air mimics the noise emitted by snakes, insects and geese to ward off predators which, research has found, domesticated pets are also sensitive to. The new, compact size retails for around £4.99 and is available from most pet retailers.
Most dog owners will have experienced the concept of ‘selective hearing’ at some point or another. This may not be a problem on many occasions, but if you’re walking on a hillside grazed by sheep and your dog’s life depends on your ability to bring him back under control quickly there’s an effective but kind method now available.
A new Remote Control Vibration Collar has been designed to aid recall training and deter dogs from chasing and digging and other anti-sociable behaviour traits, the collar features two different training modes, sound and vibration and four correctional levels – low, medium, high and manual.
The collar can be operated from a 50 metre range with a remote control so it is perfect for distance training. It comes complete with a detachable wrist strap allowing the owner or trainer to keep the remote close at hand. The adjustable nylon collar is designed with a plastic quick-release clasp and is simple and easy to fit on all types of dog.
Also, ideal for training deaf dogs, the collar’s vibration mode immediately alerts the dog to specific instructions.
The package includes a DVD training guide with full instructions all for a RRP of £59.99.
When it comes to training puppies or if you have a terrier or small dog that disappears down rabbit holes or after any interesting scent spoiling an otherwise pleasant walk, there’s a new CLIX 5m Lightweight Recall Line now available that has been designed to allow puppies and small dogs the freedom of movement with the security of a light-weight lead line.
CLIX recall lines are well proven to be an essential aid for recall training and this latest light-weight version has been specifically designed from an ultra light yet durable fabric.
It comes complete with an informative training guide ideal to get dog owners started on their training regime for £5.99.
