As the UK's leading behaviour and training centre we have a huge amount of requests for people wishing to further their careers by training or becoming employed with us. It is very difficult for us to respond to all these requests individually, please read the paragraphs below which should answer all your queries.
Job Vacancies
Although we currently have no vacancies, if you think you have what it takes to work at the centre, whatever your level of expertise, we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV along with a covering letter telling us a little about yourself and what relevant skills you think you may have, to fiona@companyofanimals.co.uk . We will be in touch if an appropriate position becomes available.
Assistant trainers
We do occasionally take on assistants to help our trainers at the centre. This gives the assistant the chance to learn and develop their own handling skills and teaching ability before starting out on their own. Successful assistants will always be given priority for any future, suitable positions that become available.
Assistant trainer positions are entirely voluntary. Due to the high number of applicants, preference will be given to those with some current dog training experience.
If you would like to be considered as an assistant then please email your current details and experience to training@companyofanimals.co.uk ; subject "Assistant Trainers"
Starting a career in behaviour or training
There are now a huge number of courses available in the study of behaviour and training. Unfortunately we cannot advise on these as it is impossible to monitor them all. Good contacts for finding details of courses are;

Behaviour and training courses
At present we do not run training courses for individuals who wish to become involved in training and/or behaviour but this is something we are interested in offering in the future. If you would like to be added to the contact list for any future courses then please email karen.hill@companyofanimals.co.uk titling your message ”contact list for cpd".
Individual workshops/training days
At the Animal Behaviour Centre, we are always looking for ways to expand our range of services. If you are a suitably qualified individual who can run a workshop/training day that you feel may be of interest to us then please contact fiona@companyofanimals.co.uk titling your message 'workshop suggestions'. Please note that training methods used will have to conform to our own ethic of reward - based training.
Seeing practice
Students on relevant animal related courses, (VN’s or similar) wishing to see practice at the centre are most welcome and will be accommodated whenever possible. Please do bear in mind however that we do get booked up a long time in advance. Please email karen.hill@companyofanimals.co.uk and title your message 'seeing practice'.
E group list
If you are a veterinary practice, rescue centre or individual involved with training and behaviour who would like to be kept up to date with all the events that are happening at the Animal Behaviour Centre, then you can join our email list. Please send your email address to behaviour@companyofanimals.co.uk titling your message 'please add to email list'.
